Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 June 2026

Overview

These terms govern work done by Opra ("we", "us") for clients ("you"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Specific project terms are set out in the proposal you receive before any work begins.

Proposals and agreements

Work starts once you approve a written proposal. The proposal sets out the scope, price, timeline, and deliverables for that specific project. Changes to scope after approval may affect the price and timeline, and will be agreed upon in writing before proceeding.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your proposal. Project work typically requires a deposit before work begins, with the balance due on completion. Monthly retainers are invoiced at the start of each month. Payment is accepted via EFT or bank transfer in South African Rand (ZAR).

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing content, feedback, and approvals within agreed timeframes. Delays caused by late feedback may push delivery dates. You confirm that any content, logos, or images you provide are owned by you or properly licensed for use.

Ownership and intellectual property

Once a project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. Third-party tools, platforms, or licences used in your project remain subject to their own terms.

Results and guarantees

We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic numbers, or revenue outcomes. SEO and digital marketing results depend on factors outside our control, including search engine algorithm changes and market conditions. We commit to doing the work agreed upon to a professional standard.

30-day warranty

All website builds and business systems come with a 30-day warranty from the date of handover. During this period, any bugs or errors in the delivered work will be fixed at no charge. This covers defects in what was built — not new features, design changes, or content updates. After 30 days, a maintenance retainer covers ongoing support.

Termination

Either party may end a retainer agreement with 30 days written notice. Work completed up to the notice period will be invoiced at the applicable rate. Project agreements may be terminated by mutual consent, with payment due for work completed to that point.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved under South African jurisdiction.
